Epstein of New York and Dr. James Namnoum of Georgia discuss a patient of Dr. Epstein’s who was dealing with severe symmastia of her breasts. Symmastia is defined as when the breasts appear “connected” to one another in the space between them, known as the intermammary cleft. The condition is an abnormality that causes women who face it to be shaped oddly, creating a situation where they may feel deformed, especially when looking at themselves without clothing in a mirror. Dr. Epstein outlines how he assessed this particular patient and details his solution.
