Dustin Reid, MD is the founder of Restora Austin Plastic Surgery Centre in Austin, TX. 

Dr. Reid received his medical degree from Texas Tech University School of Medicine, graduating first in his class.  He went on to train in a vigorous 5 year General/Trauma surgical residency at Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix, AZ. where he was featured on the Learning Channel’s, Trauma, Life in the ER. Dr. Reid scored in the 99th percentile of his general surgery certifying exams and is board certified by the American Board of Surgery.

 

He subsequently trained in plastic surgery at the prestigious Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, GA, completing a 3-year residency and serving as chief resident in his final year. This cutting-edge program is world-recognized for excellence in plastic surgery training and focuses on breast and aesthetic surgery.  He has met vigorous training and testing criteria and is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. 

 

Dr. Reid trained under the leaders, past and present, in the field of plastic surgery and brought his expertise to Austin.  He founded Restora Austin Plastic Surgery Center in 2005, developing it into one of the premier plastic surgery practices in Central Texas.  Dr. Reid is now a leader in the field of plastic surgery and was named as a “Texas Super Doctor” by Texas Monthly magazine in 2013. Dr. Reid was one of the three physicians named as “Top Plastic Surgeons in Austin in US News & World Report.  He is frequently featured in the media reporting on advances in plastic surgery.   Dr. Reid was awarded Most Compassionate Doctor and Patients’ Choice for 2011, 2012 and 2013 by PatientChoice.org.

 

Dr. Reid is considered a national leader in the field of breast surgery and was selected for the LEAD 2012 Elite Advisory Board. which is composed of leading plastic surgeons with extensive surgical experience in breast enhancement surgery .  He was also one of the first surgeons in Austin to offer  Sientra shaped and round silicone breast implants, and he serves on the Sientra Advisory Panel, a panel of top tier surgeons who are regarded as shaping the future of breast enhancement.  He and his partner, Dr. Ashley Gordon are the only Austin surgeons to serve on these elite panels and are the only surgeons in Central Texas to offer SAFELipo techniques for body contouring procedures.

 

Dr. Reid specializes in aesthetic surgery of the face, breast and body, including complex breast revisionary surgery and rhinoplasty.  Although his academic achievements are extensive, Dr. Reid considers his compassion and ability to truly understand his patients’ goals as the critical components of an extraordinary surgical outcome. As an accomplished musician, Dr. Reid considers himself to be a true artist with a natural aesthetic eye.  His creativity, attentiveness, and attention to detail translate into a consistently exceptional experience for his patients.
