A graduate of the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine where he trained in general and plastic surgery, Dr. James Namnoum is a well-known expert in cosmetic and reconstructive breast surgery as well as aesthetic body contouring and facial cosmetic surgery. He is a popular and regularly invited lecturer in national plastic surgery symposia and has lectured on a variety of cosmetic and reconstructive topics across the globe.

As a leader in the field, Dr. Namnoum’s reputation and commitment to advancements in plastic and reconstructive surgery have allowed him the opportunity to trial many of the industry’s newest technologies. A widely recognized innovator, he has made numerous contributions to the advancement of plastic surgery of the breast and body utilizing highly cohesive anatomical breast implants, autologous fat transfer, and dermal matrices. Because Dr. Namnoum is among the first in the nation to have access to these innovative products, his patients are also among the first with access to cutting edge technology designed to enhance overall patient experience such as 3D computer result imaging and patient consultation software at his practice.

Serving as a board member on Allergan Breast Aesthetics’ Executive Council, Dr. Namnoum helps to refine technology to enhance results for women undergoing cosmetic and reconstructive breast surgery. His many contributions include techniques to reduce the incidence of capsular contracture following implant surgery and to correct implant malposition.  Dr. Namnoum furthers his research as Co-President of Innovative Biologics, a research company investigating new methods for breast reconstruction through development of biologically integrated implants.

In addition to breast procedures like breast augmentation and breast lift, Dr. Namnoum also has wide experience in body contouring, including abdominoplasty, belt lipectomy, buttock enhancement with fat transfer, buttock lift, and liposuction. He has treated many patients following massive weight loss designing aesthetic solutions to correct skin and fatty excess over the entire body and breasts.

Dr. Namnoum is the Medical Director of AYA Medical Spa that features the latest, minimally invasive medical-grade techniques to treat facial aging. He is an expert on anti-aging procedures of the skin including laser resurfacing, intense pulse light treatments to correct sun damage, autologous fat transfer, facial peels, skin care and the use of facial fillers. Dr. Namnoum performs many adjunctive cosmetic procedures such as Botox®, fillers, and laser skin resurfacing treatments.

In keeping with his interest and commitment to women with breast cancer, Dr. Namnoum helped found the 501(C)(3) non-profit, Pink Ribbon Story Foundation (PRSF), in which he serves as chairman of the board of directors. PRSF honors and shares stories of breast cancer survivors to help other breast cancer patients and their families cope with the process and complete their recovery.

After completion of residencies at Johns Hopkins, Dr. Namnoum completed a Fellowship in breast surgery with Carl Hartrampf, M.D., a pioneer in breast reconstruction. Dr. Namnoum is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is a member of numerous societies including the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the American Association of Plastic Surgeons, the Southeastern Society of Plastic Surgery, the Georgia Society of Plastic Surgery, the Medical Association of Atlanta, and the Medical Association of Georgia. Dr. Namnoum also serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Emory University.

Dr. Namnoum’s medical team includes Cindi White, who has been his administrative assistant for 18 years and Allison Manning, R.N., who has been with him for over 10 years. Dr. Namnoum and his team live by the philosophy of providing the utmost, personalized attention and care for every one of his patients. He and his team focus on providing a warm, caring, and supportive environment for all patients.

Dr. Namnoum is married to Anne B. Namnoum, M.D., with whom he has six children, ages 13 to 22 years. Interests other than plastic surgery include cooking, reading, fitness training, and spending time with his children. He is also a wine enthusiast.
